CAP SALINES LIGHTHOUSE

The lighthouse of Cap Salines in the south of the island, was one of the first Spanish lighthouses that was powered by solar energy.

From the lighthouse we can admire the beautiful views of Cabrera island, which is very close to the coast and we can access by boat from Colonia de Sant Jordi. In the surroundings, walking arround 1.5 kilometers we can find Es Caragol beach, the southest beach in the island , with its crystal clear waters and white sand is a paradisiacal place not to be missed. It is really nice to walk along the coast and to enjoy the wonderful views. In a few kilometers we can find Cala Màrmols, the few visitors who reach this isolated corner with no constructions come here on the seaway, although you can reach it on foot from Cap de ses Salines (a complicated walk of five kilometers between small cliffs) or crossing the private finca of Rafel des Porcs (2,5 kilometers on a sandy trail), after asking for information and authorization, because it is easy to get lost, due to the lack of signs.
